Sanctuary News

Welcome to our completely new and improved website, I hope you enjoy your stay and will visit again soon.

Whiskers New Cat House

At long last we have been able to replace Butlers a very old cat house that had become damp and in the Irish climate the wood rotted. The winters were very harsh more so on our elderly residents. Our new cat house has been well insulated in the roof and floor, the windows and door are also double glazed. This will last and offer warmth and shelter for the many residents here for years to come.

New Cat House

We are to replace Butlers Supporters in the next few days it has been home for cats in need of shelter. It was beyond repair but served us well. The winters have been harsh the last few years so this unit will be well insulated and provide a permanent home for our older cats reaching senier years. We are very excited as its been a long time waiting to have the funds and I am sure the residents will love it, I shall put pictures up soon.

Long Term Residents

This is but a few of our residents, we offer a life time home to those that were semi feral or cats through no fault of their own found themselves homeless. We give them all their freedom to run and climb doing what comes naturaly. The sanctuary stands on 13 acres with woodland. They all have access to their insulated houses and enjoy each others company. This is a life time commitment by my husband and myself, we have one volunteer that comes twice a week to help. We funded the building of the sanctuary ourselves and because we need to be here to care for all our residents fund raising is not very often possible. We run a raffle twice a year and sell notelets featuring our residents. Donations are gratefully recieved. We hope you enjoy looking at the photographs, we currently have 62 residents. We try and keep our numbers down to a manageable level so we can give the residents the time and care they need. We also fund the neuturing of ferals of those that need help.
